The Coverly Brothers are a Classic Rock Band from South Louisiana.  Made up of veteran musicians, the band was formed with the goal of playing classic rock songs at a high level, staying as faithful to the original recordings as possible, and with an emphasis on outstanding vocal harmonies. 

The Coverly Brothers set list includes songs from The Eagles, Bad Company, Queen, The Beatles, Blackberry Smoke, The Rolling Stones, CSNY, The Kinks, Badfinger, CCR, The Who, and many more.

Stephen Street (Lead Singer, Guitarist): Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Stephen has been a musician all his life. He was a member of The Luvrakers, a successful Baton Rouge area band during the 1980’s. In addition to performing, Stephen did studio work with the band, recording several Luvrakers originals. Stephen spent many years after that as a church musician, playing in orchestras and leading worship. He is right at home now rocking with The Coverly Brothers!

Sonny Spurlock (Electric/Acoustic Guitars, Mandolin, Vocals): Sonny hails from Baton Rouge and has been a musician since his days at Glen Oaks High School. Along with our bass player Tommy, Sonny played and sang in the Christian band Revolution, recording studio albums and touring the country. A solid player through and through, Sonny is an essential part of the Coverly Brothers sound!

Danny Wilson (Drummer): Danny hails from Watson, Louisiana and has been a musician for over 45 years. He was a member of Andelusia, a popular classic rock band in Baton Rouge during the 1980’s. Danny is also an expert sound technician. In addition to running sound for Live Oak Church in Watson, Danny owns and operates Lion’s Roar Church Audio, Inc., a successful AV contracting company in south Louisiana. We rely on Danny’s drumming and sound expertise to make sure the band sounds its best at all times!

Tommy Ray (Bassist, Vocals): A native of Baton Rouge, Tommy has been a musician all of his life. He joined the musician’s union at 18 and spent much of his early career playing bass and singing in the Christian bands Revolution and The Spurlows, recording studio albums and playing shows all over the country. For many years after that Tommy continued to play in orchestras for church productions and worship bands. Now he holds down the groove for The Coverly Brothers!

Kevin Sarver (Keys): Originally from Lake Charles, Kevin moved to Baton Rouge in 1992. He is a lifelong musician who has handled keys, bass and vocals in Baton Rouge area bands over the years, including Ampersand, Cool Beans and The Restoration Sound. Kevin is a talented songwriter and arranger, and has already established himself as a critical part of The Coverly Brothers.
